Interviewer instructions
Ask about each procedure and record the response before asking about the next one. Record '1' for 'Yes', or '2' for 'No' in each case. It may be necessary to explain some of the procedures. We want to know whether each of the procedures listed was performed during any of the antenatal check-ups during her last pregnancy. It does not matter if they were performed only once or more than once, or performed in the same visit or spread over several visits. The question asks for the following procedures:
Urine tests are conducted on every antenatal care visit where women are asked to provide a urine sample in a sterile cup. This test is used to detect abnormal levels of sugar, protein, blood cells, bacteria and other markers which could be indicative of pregnancy-related health issues that may require prompt attention.
