A caesarean section (often referred to by respondents as a "C-section" or "caesarean") is the delivery of a baby through an incision in the woman's abdomen and womb, rather than through the birth canal. Such a delivery is necessary for some women due to pregnancy complications while in some cases it is by choice. If the woman responds 'No', skip to MN23.
