The questionnaire was administered through face-to-face interviews, with data entry conducted using Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing software. The questionnaire was divided into 30 main modules as shown below:

Household food consumption was collected via a seven-day food consumption recall. All transactions (food, non-food, home production and gifts) were collected by different recall sections of the questionnaire during the same visit. The traditional 14-day diary, which was used in the 2012/13 HIES, is no longer recommended for use in the Pacific region. |
