Interviewer instructions
Very young children are sometimes forgotten so pay particular attention to getting all babies counted. If the infant has no name, write 'Baby of ---(mother's name)'.
When you have written the names of all who were in the household on census night, read over the list and ask, "Is that correct?" if not correct the list. Then ask, "Was there anyone else here on the night?" if there was, include them.
Then look about you. If you see infants or children whose mothers are included, or very old or sick people, ask "What about that child? Is he or she listed? And what about that old man? Are there any night workers? You must be sure that everyone is counted.
